But sometimes performing several tasks on mac are very difficult in this article we went show you how to migrate folders and files of mac to external hard drive. Jul 12, 2017  If you’re a Mac owner who’s used iPhoto or another third-party application, Apple’s new app and its iCloud integration will likely appeal to you because it is now OS X’s default, native photo application. Nevertheless, you may still have questions or comments. If so, please leave your feedback in our discussion forum. Thanks for the reply. I don´t intend to move applications to an external drive. My iMac has both the SSD and “traditional” HDD. So, really I will be moving applications from one location on the computer to another.

1. If you can power on the imac you can connect the two computer with a firewire cable. Boot the imac while hold the T key and it will appear on the desktop of the eMac and you can drag and drop whatever you want. You can also run the Migration Assistant from the utilities folder on the emac and tell the computer what to copy.
2. You cannot make a cd of the operating system. You can buy an external drive and back up the emac to the drive. A lot of people like Carbon Copy Cloner, but I like Deja Vu. You could probably find Tiger DVD/CD on ebay or possibly from Other World Computing at It is going to be harder to find with the release of Leopard.
